5/11/13 - A Gladwin County woman charged with attacking family members at a Putnam Township home and threatening them with an axe has entered a plea. 67-year-old Stephanie Maruszewski pleaded guilty as charged to a single count of felonious assault in Livingston County Circuit Court on Friday. Prosecutors agreed to reduce the charge upon successful completion of 18 months of probation and sheâll be sentenced by Judge David Reader June 13th. State Police Troopers from the Brighton Post were called out the afternoon of April 1st to an assault in progress at a home on Dexter-Pinckney Road. Police say a 19-year-old woman told a trooper that her grandmother, who she identified as Maruszewski, had punched and threatened her with a small axe. A 22-year-old man also claimed Maruszewski had choked him. Neither of the victims required medical attention but Maruszewski was arrested and later charged. (JM)
