11/5/12 - Houston-based performing arts company Music Doing Good, Inc. will be in Howell this week to perform once again at the Howell Opera House. Sharon Fisher, Vice President of the Livingston Art Council, tells WHMI that the âWhatâs Your Storyâ performance will explore the theme of building community through civility and compassion. The performance will include several genres of music as well as spoken words from Dr. Mark Waters, a comparative religion scholar from McMurray University in Texas. Fisher says that the troupe has helped raise funds for the Opera House twice in years past, most recently for a presentation on Marilyn Monroe in June of 2011, but it has not done the âWhatâs Your Storyâ presentation there before. The event will take place on Friday and tickets are $25 per person. A cash bar and light refreshments will be available.
