8/29/13 - The two victims from separate fatal accidents along I-96 yesterday have been identified. The first happened about 3:15am on westbound I-96 near Webberville when a car driven by 89-year-old Lee Carl Woodbury of Ionia County hit a semi head-on after traveling east in the westbound lanes. The truck driver, from Pennsylvania, tried to avoid Woodburyâs car but couldnât. He was treated and released from the hospital with minor injuries. The crash (pictured) forced the closure of the westbound lanes at the Stockbridge exit for more than six hours, resulting in massive multi-mile backups. The second crash happened around 11am in Lyon Township when a tow truck hauling a disabled State Police car collided with a semi that had braked suddenly to avoid a swerving car. The tow truck driver, a State of Michigan employee, was killed. He was identified as 42-year-old Don Selden of Dewitt.
