12/3/13 - The city of Fenton has been active in revitalizing their downtown district and will soon have more property to work with. A no longer usable house on Mill Street is scheduled to be demolished within the week by L.A. Construction. Fenton City Manager Lynn Markland tells WHMI the property will soon have a better purpose. The city plans to make the property part of Fentonâs Downtown District Authority master plan, which continues to redevelop Fentonâs downtown area. The house, originally used by the Fenton Area Resources and Referral Network as a shelter for battered women, is now being used for storage. Markland believes taking down the building will not only aid in the cityâs appearance but soon be of more use. (DK/JK)
