11/15/12 - Local teens, community members and officials gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday afternoon at the new Hartland Teen Center called âNext Doorâ. The center is located in the old township hall building off Hartland Road, which has been newly remodeled. Tours of the facility were provided and brief remarks were made to commemorate the occasion. Next Door aims to provide a safe environment for teens and offers social activities and academic support. Itâs open on weekdays and offered free of charge to Hartland students in 7th through 12th grade. The center is a project of the Hartland Enrichment and Recreation Organization or H.E.R.O, a non-profit organization that provides programming and projects aimed at enhancing opportunities for students in Hartland Township.
