1/12/14 - A fundraiser organized by a pizza franchise is hoping to help send members of a local youth group to a national conference on preventing substance abuse. The group SRSLY was founded in 2008 and is made up of both students and adults as an anti-drug coalition. The Chelsea Standard reports every Wednesday this month, the Jetâs Pizza in Chelsea will donate a portion of its dine-in sales to SRSLY to attend the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of Americaâs Mid-Year Training Institute. The five-day meeting in July will take place in Orlando and give anti-drug organizations from around the country a chance to network while they learn about the latest research into drug abuse, evidence-based prevention strategies, and coalition-building strategies. Representatives from SRSLY have attended the conference every year since 2012. (TD)
