2/20/14 - Police are searching for a man who appears to be targeting homes of the recently deceased and their family members. The Michigan State Police Brighton Post and the Washtenaw County Sheriffâs Office are seeking the publicâs assistance with identifying a suspect involved in multiple home invasions over the last month. Police say the suspect appears to be targeting homes of the recently deceased or their family members listed in the obituary while theyâre attending funeral services. Incidents have been reported in multiple counties including Livingston, Washtenaw, Monroe, and Oakland. Police were able to obtain surveillance photos of the man believed to be involved while investigating an incident in Washtenaw County. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20-30 years old, with facial hair and driving a silver, four-door vehicle believed to be a Pontiac Grand Prix.
