3/14/14 - The trial of a Brighton-area man charged in two different armed robberies that occurred days apart last March has recessed for the weekend. The trial of 35-year old David Rentsch has been ongoing all week in Livingston County Circuit Court. Heâs alleged to have robbed the 7-11 store at Grand River and Pleasant Valley Road in Green Oak Township on March 15th of last year, and then robbing the BP gas station on Grand River in Brighton three days later. Police say both businesses were robbed at gunpoint and Rentsch fled after receiving an undetermined amount of cash. Following court proceedings Friday, jurors were sent home for the weekend. Theyâve been instructed to return on Monday morning. (JM)
