4/9/14 - The 6th annual Bras for a Cause fundraiser to help fight breast cancer is set for Friday. The event collects donations at the expense of local men, who volunteer to model custom brassieres for a crowd of women. The models collect cash from the audience followed by an auction of the bras, which are highly decorated, many with outrageously funny themes. Proceeds will benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, an organization that helps women with breast cancer and provides funding to research for a cure. The event is sponsored by the Livingston County Chapter of the Womenâs Council of Realtors. Organizer Kim Foster says itâs a fun night with a lot of silly, but clean, entertainment. Bras for a Cause will take place Friday at Cleary Universityâs Johnson Center from 6 to 9:30pm. It will include a 50/50 raffle, appetizers, and a cash bar. Tickets are $40 each and must be purchased in advance through the link below. (JK)
