4/18/14 - Two businesses have reported the possible theft of hundreds of gallons of gasoline in Milford this month. On April 7th, a business on Childs Lake Road filed a police report regarding a smashed windshield on a company truck. The manager also reported that a tank that had been filled with 500 gallons of gasoline just three days before was now empty, according to the Milford Times. A representative from the gas company confirmed there was no residue in the tank, and which hinted that it may have been siphoned dry by the vandal. A small hole was later found in the tank, which may have caused it to leak out on its own, but the following day another business in that area reported a thousand gallons of diesel fuel missing from three tanks on their property. The Milford Police are investigating the situation. (TD)
