6/25/14 - A Howell man has entered a plea to charges that he stole money from a church in Livonia. Jeffrey John Bentley was arrested after a hidden camera showed him taking money out of a donation box at St. Edithâs Catholic Church. The camera had been placed there after church officials notified Livonia Police and said they thought money was being taken out of donation boxes. The 55-year-old recently pleaded guilty to larceny in a building. Bentley, whose criminal record includes previous convictions in Livingston County for larceny and criminal sexual conduct, will be sentenced July 3rd in Wayne County Circuit Court. (JK)
