12/6/12 - More than 100 Fenton City residents attended visioning forum last night to tell the city government what they think the cityâs future should look like. The event was held at the Andrew G. Schmidt Middle School by the City Council and staff. Attendees were split into teams and asked to describe the goals, assets, and values of the City of Fenton. The ideas were then shared with the group and expanded upon. Some of the ideas shared during the meeting included library improvements, increased parking, more specialty retail and dining options, outdoor recreation, and action to be taken to reduce blight. The information gathered will guide the city in its efforts to put together a strategic plan for the next 10 years. The ideas will now be compiled and a second meeting to review them is scheduled for January 18th. (TD)
