7/16/14 - The first annual community-wide reunion to celebrate Brightonâs past, present and future will be held this weekend. The Brighton COmmunity REunion is a weekend long festival that celebrates the unique history and charm of the Brighton community. It will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday and feature social gatherings, historic tours of the city, sports and social activities, street dancing and music, a picnic and car show along with an alumni dinner. The reunion event is being put on by Brighton CORE, a non-profit that raises money for those in need in the Brighton area. Anyone who grew up or has lived in Brighton is invited to attend and the event is open to all ages. Organizers are planning to make the Brighton Community Reunion an annual summer event from here on out, to be held on the 3rd weekend of July.
