9/23/14 - A grand opening event will be held for Howellâs new dog park this weekend. The Countryside Veterinary Dog Park, formerly the Howl and Bark Dog Park, officially opened on August 9th after years of planning, fundraising, and red tape. The grand opening event will be held this Saturday from 11am to 2pm to celebrate the new facility. The event will provide refreshments for humans and dogs alike, vendors, microchipping for $20, and a dog photographer. Residents will also be able to adopt dogs from the Humane Society of Livingston County as well as Animal Control. Participants must bring proof of current rabies, distemper, and bordatella vaccines as well as a current dog license. (TD)
