12/27/12 - The Milford Village Council gave approval for the construction of a new amphitheater and public restroom facility in the municipalityâs central park. The $500,000 project was approved on December 17th. It will be funded through fundraisers and donations from the Rotary Club of Milford, the Huron Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Milford Downtown Development Authority. It will be constructed near and in a similar style to the Pettibone Creek Powerhouse. The amphitheater will include concrete seating for about 700 people and enough open room to seat at least 2,000 more. The restrooms will service the whole park and shut down on a time-lock mechanism. Village council members praised the project for taking advantage of the natural terrain and potentially improving the quality of life for residents. (TD)
