Multi-Vehicle Pileup Shuts Down US-23 in Genesee County

1/31/13 - Authorities say a snow squall caused a multi-vehicle pileup situation, shutting down US-23 in Genesee County. Both northbound and southbound US-23 were shut down from Grand Blanc to Thompson Road before 1pm. The northbound lanes re-opened to traffic at around 3:20pm and the southbound lanes re-opened about an hour later. Earlier falling snow and white-out conditions are said to have caused multiple crashes, resulting in a pile-up situation and lengthy traffic delays. (JM)
