3/8/13 - A Howell man who pleaded guilty in February to soliciting a minor online who turned out to be a police officer has been sentenced in the case. 37-year-old Eric Nicholas Bramble pleaded guilty to various charges including child abusive commercial activity, using a computer to commit a crime and accosting a child for immoral purposes. He was sentenced yesterday to 1 year in jail with as well as 5 years of probation. His computer has also been forfeited. As part of his plea agreement prosecutors stipulated that he would get no jail credit other than statutory good time and must also undergo sex offender treatment. Police say Bramble sent messages âdesigned to entice or solicit a child under the age of 16 to commit an immoral act.â The messages came in the form of texts and emails to an undercover officer posing as a 14-year-old child.
