3/15/13 - Authorities have confirmed that several lottery ticket robberies are related but the search for the suspects continues. The Oakland County Sheriff Departmentâs Highland Township substation has released a surveillance photo of the suspects wanted in connection with smash and grab incidents on February 25th. In Highland Township, lottery tickets were stolen from the Duck Lake Market and the Pine Ridge Market but detectives believe the same suspects are involved with similar thefts at Angeloâs Party Store in Livingston County and another in Grand Blanc that morning. The department says the suspects would back up to a store and smash a window, grab the entire lottery display case and then drive off. Several batches of lottery tickets and display cases have since been recovered in Milford in rural areas along Buno Road and by Heavner Canoe Rental, which is leading police to believe the suspects are local. The vehicle involved is a white Dodge Stratus or similar make and model. Anyone with information about the lotto ticket incidents is asked to contact the Highland Township substation at (248) 887-6240 or the Livingston County Sheriffâs Department at (517) 546-2440. A surveillance photo and information previously released by the Livingston County Sheriff's Department in connection with the robbery at Angelo's may be viewed in our archive and is dated March 9th.
