11/14/13 - A dispute between Meijer and a Livingston County shopper is a reminder to watch your step in the fruit aisle. The Michigan appeals court has affirmed a decision to throw out a lawsuit filed by Nancy Duncan, who said she was injured when she slipped on grapes at a Meijer store in Livingston County. Duncan says Meijer should have known there were grapes on a floor mat in front of the fruit display. She says some were brown, a suggestion they had been on the ground awhile. But the appeals court this week said it's also possible that the grapes were brown before they hit the ground and dismissed the case. (JK)
