11/15/13 - Phone service problems reported in Livingston County Thursday, specifically in the Fowlerville and Howell areas, have reportedly been resolved. There were numerous reports that cellular phone service was disrupted, as well as general phone service. The issues began in the Fowlerville area around 2pm and then spread into Howell and down into Brighton and Whitmore Lake. Verizon Wireless Spokeswoman Michelle Gilbert told WHMI a third party vendor cut a fiber optic line, which is a common cause for this kind of outage. 911 Central Dispatch says land-line service was restored to Fowlerville residents by late last night, with cell service to the region restored this morning.
