11/15/13 - The Livingston County Road Commission will be implementing new road signs in Green Oak Township with hopes of safer conditions. The road commission plans to put permanent No Stopping, Standing or Parking signs along Lee Road in the next 2-4 weeks. Managing Director for the Livingston County Road Commission Mike Craine says Green Oak Township requested the signs a few months ago as cars were parking along Lee Road for sporting events. Students have been crossing there and waiting to be picked by parents, which is causing an imposition on traffic. Craine tells WHMI several complaints have put the plan into action. The board believes the signs will not be necessary on the north side of the road but that this will be a good use of police resources to make the roads safer. The road commission will also be putting in a temporary No Left Turn sign at the Brighton Assembly of God church for their yearly Christmas performance. The church presents a drive through exhibit that is requiring more direction for the cars this year as there have been issues with traffic in past years. (DK)
