3/17/14 - Hartland Township has launched a new comprehensive community engagement website where residents can engage and collaborate with community decision makers and other residents on the future of the Township. Officials say their goal is to get the community involved in the townshipâs planning process but also used as a tool to generate new ideas. Township Manager James Wickman says that they are looking for input on everything from parks to roads, and that while they continue to host town hall-style meetings with residents, they realize time is at a premium for people. He says the new website will allow residents to provide input at their convenience. There are already two conversation topics on the website asking what amenities residents would like to see at two new parks and how they weigh the importance of roads versus paths. There is a link to the site on the townshipâs web page; www.hartlandtwp.com or users can access it directly at; hartlandmi.mindmixer.com. (JK)
