4/14/14 - The search process to find a new, permanent director of Livingston County 911 Central Dispatch could begin later this week. Former Director Donald Arbic resigned effective April 4th. Livingston County EMS Director Jeff Boyd has been providing temporary assistance to the department and says the Livingston County Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday night and is expected to approve a resolution appointing him as the interim director. He says the process to move the organization forward can then begin. There have been conflicting reports about Arbic’s performance as well as reasons for his departure including a poor performance evaluation, disagreement with administration, and a chronic turnover of dispatch employees.
