5/2/14 - A spring clean-up project is planned at the Historic Village Cemetery in downtown Brighton this weekend. The Brighton Area Historical Society and volunteers will be sprucing up the cemetery this Saturday morning and early afternoon. The City of Brighton will be assisting their efforts by blocking off ten parking spaces in the public parking area off of St. Paul Street, adjacent to the Historic Village cemetery. The parking spaces will be blocked off from 2am through approximately 2pm this Saturday to allow for the temporary accumulation of leaves and yard waste raked up by the volunteers, which will then be removed by DPW workers.
