5/3/14 - Hartland Township will kick off a series of public meetings next week in an effort to gather input from residents on a plan that addresses road and pathway conditions. The Safer Roads and Pathways plan was created by a citizen task force and addresses pathway connectivity and maintenance of identified roads within Hartland, particularly those that are heavily traveled and provide alternatives to M-59 and Old US-23. The Task Force has recommended that the plan be financed with a ten-year millage that would cost the average homeowner $150 per year. The public meetings begin next week, with the first scheduled at noon on Monday at the Hartland Senior Center. Additional meetings are planned next Thursday night at 7 at the Hartland Township Hall. Two meetings have also been set for the following week. Residents and others can find the plan through the link below. (JM)
