5/29/14 - Two of more than five dozen grants from Consumers Energy are headed to Livingston County. The Consumers Energy Foundation this week announced 64 grants worth a total of almost $31,000 in 24 counties across the state to recognize employees and retirees who were outstanding volunteers. Two from Livingston County received grants. Alan Sleeman of Pinckney Community Schools 5th and 6th grade co-ed basketball was given a $450 award, while Debra McIntyre-Dodd of Therapeutic Riding received a $400 award. Both Sleeman and McIntyre-Dodd and their organizations have won grants in the past. The grants will be used towards purchasing new equipment.
