6/9/14 - Green Oak Township Police are asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects in connection with a check fraud that occurred over the weekend. Police said two women entered the Kohl’s store on Whitmore Lake Road Saturday and purchased about $1,000 in merchandise using fraudulent American Express travelers’ checks. The women were seen leaving the store’s parking lot in a gold Jeep Patriot with a plate of CEJ 5136, which is actually registered to a 1999 red Ford Crown Victoria in Livonia. Police said two unique identifiers on the Jeep were red bungee-type cords holding the hood down and a yellow “pine tree” air freshener on the rear-view mirror.
