9/26/14 - When life gives you lemons, get artsy. The Livingston County United Way’s Makin’ Lemonade Creative Art Contest will take place the entire month of October and area residents of all ages are invited to get creative and submit original works of art. The Livingston County United Way works in the community to find solutions to local critical needs. This year’s video, created by students at Fowlerville High School, centers on the theme of “when life gives you lemons, the Livingston County United Way helps makes lemonade.” The competition is designed to be playful and participants can use any medium to showcase the theme of lemons and lemonade. Images should include the United Way logo. Submissions will be posted on the Livingston County United Way’s Facebook page, with three winners being selected from the ten submissions receiving the most number of likes from Facebook fans through November 8th.
