2/5/13 - Public input to help shape the future vision for Genoa Township is being sought at an open house Wednesday. The municipality is in the process of updating its master plan and seeking citizen input to help guide the planning process, including decisions near the new I-96/Latson Road interchange thatâs being constructed. Two short presentations are scheduled during the open house and officials are asking those who live and own businesses in the community to come in, take a look at the future land use map, and offer opinions about how they want the area to look in the future. Assistant Township Manager and Planning Director Kelly VanMarter says attendees will be able to browse interactive stations and view preliminary concepts and descriptions of where the township is headed, particularly in Latson and Nixon Road areas. The master plan open house will run from 5 to 7pm tomorrow at the Genoa Township hall on Dorr Road. More information can be found via the link below. (JM)
