3/16/13 - Green Oak Township police are looking for an armed robbery suspect who held up a convenience store Friday night at gunpoint. Just before 9pm, police received a 911 call about a robbery at the 7-11 store at Grand River and Pleasant Valley Road. Upon arrival, the clerk informed officers that a lone white male, between 20 and 30 years of age, came into the store with his face concealed by a black scarf. He produced a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the store on foot, heading west toward Pleasant Valley Road. A State Police tracking dog followed a track to an area behind the store and south of I-96. Itâs believed the suspect entered a vehicle near the store and left the area. Also assisting in the search were Livingston County Sheriffâs deputies and Hamburg Township officers. The suspect is described weighing approximately 180 pounds, standing 5â 10â tall. In addition to the scarf, he was also wearing a knit winter cap with ear flaps, a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans.
