7/11/13 - The Livingston Educational Service Agency officially hired former Pinckney Superintendent Dan Danosky to lead the intermediate district last night. By a unanimous vote, the LESA Board of Education approved a $165,000 annual salary for Danosky, although he will not receive medical coverage through the district. Danosky was the only one of six applicants chosen to be interviewed by the board following the departure of former superintendent David Campbell for a similar position in Kalamazoo. During Danoskyâs interview last week, several local leaders in education gave him their endorsement, including Campbell and Scott Menzel, who headed up LESA before Campbellâs arrival in 2011. LESA is one of 56 intermediate school districts in Michigan, providing special education, career and technical programs, educational professional development and other services to the countyâs public school districts and public school academies.
