12/3/13 - The Livingston County Sheriffâs Department is asking for the publicâs assistance to locate a suspect in the armed robbery of a sandwich shop in Genoa Township this morning. Sheriff Bob Bezotte tells WHMI that at 9:23am, a thin, white male entered the Subway shop on Grand River, near the Woodland Medical Center, demanded money and lifted his coat to reveal a gun tucked into his pants. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash, he fled the store and was last seen heading north on foot. Bezotte says they think he may have had a vehicle parked in the Woodland Center parking lot, although no one saw him actually drive away. They have brought out a K-9 unit to try and track the suspect and are interviewing witnesses. The suspect is described as a thin, white male, standing about 5â10â, weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a tan and green Carhartt-type jacket with blue jeans. He had a red and white bandana on his head and a black mask. Anyone with any information is asked to call 911 or the Livingston County Sheriffâs Detective bureau at (517) 546-8477. (JK)
