12/3/13 - Police say a Clarkston man admitted to huffing air duster after crashing his vehicle into a fire hydrant yesterday. Troopers with the Michigan State Police Brighton Post were called out to the Kroger parking lot on M-59 in Hartland Township at approximately 3:30pm Monday, where they found a gold Pontiac Sunfire had crashed into a fire hydrant. While checking the 24-year-old driver for injuries, the Clarkston man advised Troopers that he passed out while inhaling an âair dusterâ product in the parking lot, before he struck the curb and fire hydrant. Police say Troopers discovered approximately eighteen cans of compressed gas duster, as well as open and unopened alcohol containers and intoxicants, multiple over the counter narcotics and suspected illegal narcotics. State Police say the driver appeared to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. He remains lodged at the Livingston County Jail pending arraignment. (JM)
