12/13/13 - A unique fundraising opportunity approaching next week will directly benefit local families, senior citizens and other individuals who may still find themselves struggling and in need. Community members are able to see their donations grow on Triple Money Monday - when all contributions made to the Livingston County United Way will be tripled, up to $50,000 thanks to an anonymous donor and other partners. Livingston County United Way Board of Directors Chairman Kevin Brennan says community members can feel good about their dollars going three-times further and staying local on Monday. He says those who donate to various organizations are many times trying to figure out the way they can have the greatest impact in their local community, and Triple Money Monday provides that opportunity. All of the funds raised are designated specifically to provide local families and individuals with basic needs and all gifts stay in the local community. The funds help seniors receive needed services, help connect the hungry with food and help local families stay in their homes with rent and utility assistance through the United Way and its partners. Donations can be made on Monday by cash, check, credit card, online, over the phone or in-person at various locations throughout Livingston County. For details, click on the link below. (JM)
