1/3/14 - The Milford Village Council will hold a special meeting to interview candidates looking to become the municipalityâs next manager. 39 candidates applied for the position, which became vacant with the abrupt resignation of former manager Brent Morgan. A subcommittee narrowed those down before the Council eventually decided on the five it wanted to interview. Those to be interviewed this weekend include David Murphy, the former South Lyon City Manager; Jonathan Greene, economic development director for the City of Jackson; Village of Franklin Administrator Amy Sullivan; Christian Wuerth, who works as an assistant to the Birmingham City Manager; and Milford Village Clerk Deborah Frazer, who has been serving as interim manager. Saturdayâs special meeting is open to the public and following the interviews, Council could decide to schedule additional interviews or narrow down the list further. All of the candidates will be interviewed in alphabetical order starting at 8am in the training room of the Milford Police Department. The interviews are expected to continue throughout the afternoon. (JM)
