1/4/14 - Registration is approaching for the 6th annual Runway Repurposed fashion competition to benefit the Howell Opera House. Every year, local fashion designers take old clothing donated by local businesses and organizations and turn it into unique fashion items over the course of one month. The items are then put on display at a fashion show, where some are auctioned off. All the proceeds from the contest go to benefit the Howell Opera House, where registration is being held on Monday and Tuesday from 4 to 8pm. At registration designers will be able to pick out the old clothing they will use in their new designs. The designer fee for adults is $20 and $15 for students, which is due upon registration. The fashion show will take place on Sunday, February 16th at Cleary Universityâs Johnson Center. More information is available in our events section. (TD)
