11/17/12 - Several thousand people crowded into Downtown Brighton for the annual Holiday Glow event sponsored by the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce. The mild weather encouraged area residents to turn out well in advance of Santa's arrival just before 6pm. The drum corps from the Brighton High School Marching band led Santa's sleigh as he and Mrs. Claus entered the Mill Pond along Main Street. Preceding Santa was Brighton Mayor Jim Muzzin, who presented Santa and Mrs. Claus a key to the city (pictured). The lights display was upgraded this year by the chamber, which added displays along the Tridge that crosses the Mill Pond and on the traffic island on Spencer Road as drivers enter the city limits.
