2/21/14 - Investigators now believe the Fenton massage parlor that was shut down on allegations of prostitution and human trafficking had connections to the Chicago mafia. The Lake Spa on Torrey Road was shut down in December after complaints of prostitution. Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton told the county board this week that he believes the workers in the spa were employed by organized crime in Chicago, and the trafficking victims had been imported from elsewhere. According to MLive.com, he also says federal investigators are looking into the connection between the spa and the Chicago mob. Charges have yet to be filed against the spa or its workers, who police say offered sexual favors to undercover officers. (TD)
