5/29/14 - A prominent figure in local nonprofit organizations is seeking to join the Howell Downtown Development Authority Board. The DDA Board last night unanimously recommended approving Livingston County United Way Development and Marketing Director Jeanne Clum to be its newest member. Clum also serves as the vice chair of the Livingston County Planning Commission and the co-chair of the Howell Rotaryâs Tour de Livingston event, and the DDA believes her experience in the public sphere will be a valuable resource. Clum tells WHMI her work with the United Way will also be valuable to the DDA Board, but if appointed she would not have a specific agenda right out of the gate and would prefer to wait and see where her talents would be of greatest use. Clumâs appointment will not be officials until approved by the Howell City Council, which will vote on the matter at its next meeting on June 9th. (TD)
