7/17/14 - The victim who was stabbed at an auto shop by a Howell man that later claimed his own life on a local freeway has passed away from injuries. 36-year-old Shaun Martin Psimer of Ypsilanti Township passed away late this morning due to medical complications after being stabbed in the throat and back multiple times at Mikeâs Welding and Fabrication Monday afternoon. 46-year-old Robert David Richmond of Howell is believed to have fled from the auto shop after the stabbing but was spotted on northbound US-23 near Eight Mile Road by a Northfield Township police officer after a be-on-the-lookout advisory was issued. The officer attempted to stop Richmond, who had pulled over on the side of the freeway before he shot himself in the head with a 9mm handgun.
